Vanilla Chip Maple Cookies

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the shortening, butter and brown sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla and maple flavoring.
  3. Combine the flour and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in vanilla chips and pecans.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
