Orange Rolls

  1. Combine flour, shortening, sugar, orange rind, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  3. Add egg and stir. Add mixture to flour and stir well.
  4. Add milk.
  5. Stir to combine.
  6. On floured surface, knead dough, shape into a large ball and place in a greased bowl.
  7. Let rise in warm place free from drafts for about 1 hour or until double in bulk.
  8. Punch down and divide into 36 equal pieces.
  9. Form into balls.
  10. Grease muffin pan.
  11. Place 3 balls into each muffin.
  12. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
  13. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  14. Bake rolls 15 - 20 minutes or until done.
  15. Remove immediately from pan and place on wire rack to cool slightly.
