Doughnuts

  1. Beat eggs until very light.
  2. Add sugar; beat until thick and creamy.
  3. Add margarine and milk.
  4. Mix. Sift 3 cups of flour with baking powder and salt; add to batter.
  5. Add just enough flour to make a dough that can be rolled.
  6. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out doughnuts with doughnut cutter.
  7. Heat oil to 375u0b0.
  8. Gently lift doughnuts into it a couple at a time.
  9. Fry doughnuts, turning twice, until golden.
  10. Drain on paper towels.
  11. While doughnuts are still warm, shake in a paper bag with confectioners sugar.
  12. Makes about 2 dozen.
