Wild Rice Casserole
- 1 c. wild rice
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1 can chicken or beef consomme
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 6 Tbsp. onion
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1/4 tsp. parsley
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. Accent
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. celery salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 bay leaf
- Wash wild rice and drain.
- Put in 3 cups boiling water and let stand 15 minutes; drain.
- Meanwhile, brown meat and onion in butter.
- Combine with remaining ingredients and rice.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Bake, covered, at 375u0b0 for 1 1/2 hours in 3-quart casserole.
