Spiced Swordfish With Avocado-Grapefruit Salsa
- 1 grapefruit
- 1 avocado
- 1 shallot sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint finely
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- salt
- 4 swordfish steaks
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Adjust oven rack to top position (rack should be 5 inches from the broiler element) and heat broiler. Chop grapefruit segments into 1/2-inch pieces and transfer to bowl. Add avocado, shallot, mint, and lime juice. Toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper
- Grease rimmed baking sheet. Pat fish dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Rub fish with oil and sprinkle with chili powder and cayenne. Arrange fish on prepared baking sheet and broil until well-browned and cooked through, 6-9 minutes. Serve with salsa
