Pasta With Stir-Fried Sesame Beef
- 1 1/4 lb. flank steak
- 3 Tbsp. Oriental sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 ribs celery
- 3 medium carrots
- 4 scallions
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. chicken broth
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 4 drops hot pepper sauce
- 3 Tbsp. smooth peanut butter
- 2 tsp. grated lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 3/4 lb. spaghetti or capellini
- Halve the flank steak lengthwise with the grain.
- Cut each piece across the grain into 1/4-inch wide slices.
- In a medium bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of the sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of the soy sauce and the black pepper.
- Stir to combine.
- Add the steak slices; toss to coat evenly.
- Cover loosely; set aside.
