Shannon'S Easy Chocolate Cake

• 1 egg, slightly beaten
• 2/3 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. milk
• 3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
• 1 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. shortening
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2 c. sifted cake flour
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 c. milk

1. In saucepan, combine 1 egg, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk and chocolate.took and stir over medium heat until chocolate melts and mixture
2. comestust to boiling.
3. Cool.
4. Cream sugar and shortening until
5. light.
6. Add vanilla and 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well
7. after each.
8. Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to
9. creamed
10. mixture
11. alternately
12. with 1 cup milk, beating after
13. each
14. addition.
15. Blend
16. in
17. chocolate
18. mixture. Bake in 2 greased
19. and
20. floured
21. 9
22. x 1 1/2-inch round pans at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
23. Frost with Shannon's Fast and Easy Fudge Frosting.
