Seafood Creole
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 celery
- 1 green bell pepper medium, chopped
- 1 onions medium, sliced
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped
- 1 jar (1 lb. 8 oz.) Ragu(R) Old World Style(R) Pasta Sauce OR Ragu(R) Light Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dri thyme leaves, crush
- cayenne pepper to taste
- 1/2 pound fish fillets
- 1/2 pound scallops or shrimp, peeled and deveined
- In 3-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat and cook celery, green pepper, onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in Pasta Sauce, thyme and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium. Add seafood and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until fish is done. Serve, if desired, over hot cooked rice.
