Pizza Strips With Creamy Tomato Dip
- 7/8 pound pizza base ready-rolled
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian herbs
- 4 tablespoons Parmesan grated
- 3 9/16 tablespoons cheddar grated
- 7/8 cup cream cheese
- 1 onion peeled and finely chopped
- 7 ounces pizza topping jar tomato
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- fresh thyme for garnish
- Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. On a lightly floured surface, cut the pizza base into 24 strips. Arrange on the baking sheets and brush lightly with water.
- Sprinkle 1/2 the strips with the dried herbs. Mix the Parmesan and Cheddar together and sprinkle over the remaining strips. Bake 1 at a time for 10-12 mins, until golden. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
- To make the dip, mix the cream cheese and onion. Stir in the pizza sauce, cayenne pepper and paprika. Season then stir in the tomato. Garnish with thyme and serve with the pizza strips.
