Fried Pickles
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce I use Valentina's yellow label
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons ground red pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 32 ounces dill pickles sliced, drained
- vegetable oil
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl and stir well.
- Combine 3 cups flour and next 4 ingredients, stirring well.
- Dip pickle slices in egg mixture then dredge in flour mixture.
- Pour oil to depth of 2in. in a large deep skillet and heat to 375 degrees F.
- Fry pickles in batches in hot oil % min. or until lightly browned.
- Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
