Mom'S Pork Stew
- 4 pork chops or Pork Steaks
- 1 onion Large, minced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom 10.5 oz
- 1/4 cup oil
- 4 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/3 cup flour all purpose
- 4 cups water
- red pepper flakes
- salt
- pepper
- 4 tablespoons Kitchen Bouquet
- Heat oil in large sauce pan or Dutch oven. Season pork chops with salt and pepper and brown thoroughly in oil.
- Remove pork chops and place on plate.
- Saute onions until tender then add garlic and cook a few more minutes.
- Make Roux by adding flour and whisk thoroughly until brown.
- Add cream of mushroom soup and water then whisk until no lumps remain.
- Add kitchen bouquet, vinegar, parsley flakes, and red pepper to taste.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste cover and simmer for two hours or more until meat is tender
- Add water as needed if gravy is too thick
- Serve over rice and enjoy.
