Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup milk warm
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 cup butter softened
- 3 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup ground pecans
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Add water, milk, egg, and butter to bottom of bread machine pan.
- Cover liquid ingredients with flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Set bread machine to dough setting and start.
- Remove dough from bread machine onto lightly floured surface.
- Roll dough into rectangle approximately 24x16 inches
- Spread butter over dough.
- Combine sugar, pecans, and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over dough.
- Roll lengthwise.
- Cut into 16 equal pieces.
- Lay pieces on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Cover rolls and let rise one hour.
- Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
- While baking, prepare icing by combining powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla, stirring vigorously until well blended.
- Icing should be medium thick consistency. Add more milk or sugar as necessary to get desired consistency.
- Spoon icing in equal parts in center of each baked roll, spreading gently to cover rolls.
