Olive Oil Briochettes
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 3/8 tablespoons sugar
- 2/3 teaspoon salt
- 7/8 tablespoon fresh yeast
- 9/16 cup whole milk
- 2 5/8 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons sugar pearl
- 2 3/4 tablespoons sesame
- In a food processor bowl, add flour, sugar, salt.
- Add the yeast diluted in the milk and olive oil. Knead for 2 minutes.
- Put the dough on a plastic sheet and let stand for 1 hour at room temperature.
- Deflate, and let rise for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Divide the dough, and form 8 balls. Place in small flats.
- Let rise at room temperature until they double in volume (about 1 hour).
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Before baking, brush an egg yolk diluted water.
- Sprinkle with sugar and sesame seeds.
- Bake for 15 minutes, until well browned.
