Greek Dolmades Vegeterian
- 1/2 kilogram vine leaves can be from the jar
- 2 cups rice uncooked
- 2 cups onion grated
- 2 zucchinis grated
- spearmint 5 s.s. chopped
- lemon juice 2-3 s.s.
- 1 lemon in round slices
- 1 cup olive oil
- salt
- Scald the vine leaves (you can use a leaves ready from the jar) in boiling water,
- Boil the onions in a little water and salt until thay are tender and the water evaporates. Add half of the oil and saute for a few minutes. until lightly brown.
- Remove the onions from the heat and mix with the zucchinis. mint, rice, salt and pepper.
- Place a teaspoon of filling on each vine leaf and roll.
- Lay out some vine leaves on the bottom of pot and place the stuffed vine leaves in layers, placing the lemons slices between.
- Add 3 cups warm water, the lemon juice, the remaining oil, salt and pepper and cover.
- Cook the food at medium heat until all the water evaporates, tray it ! and if the rice isn't well cooked, add a little more water.
