Saucy Pepper Steak & Noodles
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 lb. boneless beef flank steak, halved lengthwise, then cut crosswise into 1/4-inch slices
- 2 green bell pepper medium, cut into thin strips
- 1 onions large, thinly sliced
- 1 jar (1 lb. 8 oz.) Ragu(R) Old World Style(R) Pasta Sauce OR Ragu(R) Light Pasta Sauce
- 3/4 cup low sodium beef broth or reduced-sodium
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 8 ounces egg noodles yolk-free, cooked and drained
- In 3-quart saucepan, heat 1 teaspoon olive oil over medium-high heat and cook steak, stirring frequently, 2 minutes or until done. Remove steak and set aside.
- In same saucepan, heat remaining 3 teaspoon olive oil over medium-high heat and cook green peppers and onion, stirring frequently, 5 minutes or until pepper is tender. Stir in Pasta Sauce, broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Return steak to skillet and simmer 2 minutes or until heated through. To serve, spoon meat and sauce over hot noodles.
