Zesty Chicken And Pasta
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper use YOUR favorite heat spice and adjust for heat level desired
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt adjust to YOUR desired taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup apple juice
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 package angel hair or Penne Pasta
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breast +/- LBS
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Take all dry spices and mix together in small bowl; then add juice and vinegar
- Cut chicken into bite sized pieces.
- Place olive oil in large skillet or frying pan place on high heat. As oil thins add chicken. Sear chicken (until oil and moisture is gone).
- Reduce heat to med/ med high and pour in spice mixture. Add 1/3 cup water to spice bowl and drizzle over chicken and spices. Stir chicken and spices intermediately until spice sauce is reduced. Remove from heat.
- Boil salted water for pasta; cook until desired firmness is reached
- Serve chicken on bed of pasta and if you desire your favorite shredded cheese. ( I use fresh shredded Parmesan and Romano)
