Chocolate Brownie

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Line a 15 by 25 centimeter baking dish with aluminum foil.
  3. In a large, microwave-safe bowl add the butter and dark chocolate. On medium power, microwave them together for 30 seconds then stir. Repeat until melted.
  4. Add the sugar and pinch of salt. Mix well.
  5. Then mix in the eggs and the extra egg yolk mixing well after each one.
  6. Sift in the flour and baking powder and stir until just absorbed.
  7. If you choose to use the nuts or dried fruit, at this point you would fold them into the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the baking dish and bake 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
