Look Good Naked Smoothie
- kale double handful

- Let's look closer at this recipe. The same recipe I start all of my good days with. Kale, the Usain Bolt of vegetables, is a real multi-vitamin. The benefits are legitimately endless. Problem is, it tastes like bitter yuk to most of us. Stuff it in your smoothie and you are making every organ in your body happy. Ageing and disease are stopped for today.
- Then we add frozen berries. I love blueberries exclusively but a frozen berry medley is going to provide a mixture of nutrients, particularly antioxidants and vitamin c. Again, no disease. And vitamin C is also one of the best ingredients for healthy, tight skin.
- Pumpkin seeds are also anti-aging and my favourite plant protein. Absolutely love these. Not too much flavour, great for smoothie texture and dense with magnesium, zinc, protein, fibre and potassium. You can use any nut or seed here but pumpkin seeds are my current number one.
- Now we add the coconuts for clean sweetness. Coconut water is hydrating potassium and coconut protein is delicious. As we've discussed previously, getting 30g of protein first thing in the morning is the absolute biggest life hack to weightloss. Protein doesn't mean bulking, it satiates hunger which prevents detrimental snacking decisions throughout the day.
- Sticking with protein, please don't use whey/casein. You are not a bovine, which means your body will respond with inflammation. That means you're susceptible to sickness. I get pimples and nasal congestion with it too.
