Chocolate Hazelnut Brownie
- 7 1/8 tablespoons margarine room temperature
- 6 3/8 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread
- 2 eggs medium-sized
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 11/16 cup hazelnuts chopped
- 5/8 cup dark chocolate chunked
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
- Line a 15- by 25-centimeter baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream together the margarine and sugar. Add the chocolate hazelnut spread and mix well.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then add the vanilla.
- Separately, sift together the flour and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients just until the flour is absorbed.
- Fold in the hazelnuts and dark chocolate.
- Bake for 20 minutes being careful not to overbake, as this will cause the brownies to dry out.
