Layered Taco Dip
- 1 (15 oz.) can refried beans
- 3 ripe avocados
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt, pepper and garlic powder
- 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 bunch green onions (tops and bottoms), chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 (4 1/4 oz.) can black olives, chopped
- picante sauce (optional)
- jalapeno peppers (optional)
- Spread refried beans on bottom of 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish and set aside.
- Mash avocados.
- Mix with lemon juice, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Layer over beans.
- In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning mix.
- Spread this mixture over 2nd layer.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions.
- Sprinkle chopped black olives.
- Sprinkle grated cheese.
- Sprinkle chopped tomatoes on top. Picante sauce may be spooned and jalapeno peppers on top.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
