Tuna And Ham Sandwiches
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 onions 1 finely diced, 1 sliced into rings
- 1 baguette 12 inch wheat, cut into 2-4 pieces, halved horizontally
- 1 baguette 12 inch rye, cut into 2-4 pieces, halved horizontally
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 7 ounces tuna drained, flaked
- 6 pickles halved, sliced
- 1 tomato cut into 6 wedges
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 sprigs fresh dill chopped
- 1 ounce smoked ham sliced
- 1 1/2 ounces gouda cheese aged, sliced
- 2 tablespoons hot mustard medium
- Combine vinegar and sugar. Season then whisk in oil. Add diced onion. Set aside.
- Fill both loaves of bread with lettuce. Fill wholewheat baguette with tuna, pickles, tomato, onions and mayonnaise. Garnish with dill. Fill rye baguette with ham, cheese and mustard. Drizzle dressing over both sandwiches.
- Serve immediately.
