A Crock Of Butt Roast

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a fry pan on med-high heat until hot.
  2. Salt and Pepper pork as desired and sear on all sides in the fry pan
  3. Remove the pork from fry pan and place in the bottom of the crock pot.
  4. Place the Sausage links into the same pan and sear on all sides.
  5. Remove the Sausage links and place in the same crock pot.
  6. Drain potatoes and pour into crock pot with the sausage and roast.
  7. Add 3 cans of kraut to the crock pot.
  8. Pour in the bottle of Guinness, the liquid should just cover the kraut.
  9. Add Salt and Pepper as desired.
  10. Put lid on crock pot and put on high until the liquid begins to simmer
  11. lower heat to low and cook for 5-6 hours depending on the cut of meat and your altitude. The meat should fall apart easily with a fork, If not continue to cook checking in 15-20min increments,
