Italian-Style Chicken Tostadas
- 2 tablespoons promise buttery spread
- 2 pita bread wheat
- 1 cup sweet onion
- 7 ounces roasted red peppers drained and thinly sliced
- 1 cup chicken cook pre
- 2 tablespoons loosely packed fresh basil leaves thinly sliced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0. Slice pitas horizontally to make 4 rounds. Arrange pitas on baking sheet cut-side up. Bake 6 minutes or until lightly toasted; set aside.
- Meanwhile, in 10-inch nonstick skillet, melt Promise(R) Buttery Spread over medium-high heat and cook onion, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until starting to brown. Add roasted peppers and chicken and heat through. Stir in Parmesan cheese, basil and salt.
- Evenly top pitas with chicken mixture, then sprinkle evenly with mozzarella cheese. Broil until cheese is just melted. To serve, cut into quarters.
