Aunt Murrell'S Fruit Cake Cookies

• 1/2 c. butter or margarine
• 1 c. brown sugar
• 4 eggs, well beaten
• 3 c. self-rising flour
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3 Tbsp. sour cream
• 3 Tbsp. orange juice
• 1/4 lb. red candied cherries
• 1/4 lb. green candied cherries
• 1/2 lb. pineapple (candied)
• 2 c. chopped nuts
• 1 lb. white raisins

1. Cream together butter and brown sugar.
2. Add eggs.
3. Sift together flour and nutmeg.
4. In a cup, combine vanilla, sour cream and orange juice.
5. Add flour mixture and sour cream mixture alternately to butter and eggs.
6. Add fruit mixture to flour and butter mixture.
7. Blend well.
8. Chill dough overnight and drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.
9. Bake 10 to 15 minutes in 325u0b0 oven until lightly brown.
