Never Easier Potato Casserole
- 1 pkg. Ore-Ida frozen hash browns
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 16 oz. sour cream
- about 6 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- garlic powder to taste
- garlic pepper to taste
- 3 c. maize meal
- 6 c. water
- corn meal
- Farina
- white corn meal
- Use a medium saucepan to boil water.
- Sprinkle maize meal into boiling water, in small quantities.
- Stir continuously until all the maize meal becomes a mixture of thick paste.
- To make sure there are no lumps, use a wooden spade.
- Continue stirring until the mixture is thick.
- Cover it under very low heat for 10 minutes at the same time.
- Stir every 3 minutes to make sure it does not stick to the saucepan.
- Serves 6 to 8.
