Yummy Homemade Fried Rice And Shrimp
- 1 white rice Boil in a Bag
- 10 shrimp pre-cooked thawed
- 1/3 cup veggies mixed, I used Steam in a bag corn, carrots and peas
- 1 large egg beaten
- low sodium soy sauce
- stir fry sauce Szechuan, I used House of Tsang
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup yellow onion chopped
- 1 shallot finely chopped
- 1 celery stalk chopped
- black pepper
- 1. *Have the rice cooked and ready before you start.
- 2. In a small frying pan, scramble the beaten egg, then set aside.
- 3. In a medium sized skillet, heat 3 Tbs olive oil and 2 Tbs sesame oil at med-high heat. Lightly cook the onion, celery and shallot.
- 4. Add the thawed shrimp and stir in 1 Tbs stir-fry sauce. Cook uncovered for about 6 minutes or so, stirring frequently.
- 5. Add the rice and mixed veggies. Stir in soy sauce, but measure to your taste so you don't have too salty of rice. Turn heat down to med-low.
- 6. Add the egg, stir well.
- 7. Add about 1 Tbs more of the stir-fry sauce, and continue to stir frequently until well mixed.
- 8. 6. Black pepper to season, serves 4.
