Pineapple Upside-Down Cake(Microwave)

  1. Melt butter in a 9-inch round cake pan 30 seconds on High. Stir in brown sugar.
  2. Arrange pineapple rings over syrup.
  3. Place a cherry in center of each ring.
  4. Prepare cake mix according to package directions substituting reserved pineapple syrup for water. Place pan on inverted saucer in microwave.
  5. Microwave on Low, 7 to 9 minutes.
  6. turn at least once.
  7. Microwave on High, 3 to 4 minutes or until cake starts leaving sides of pan and toothpick in center comes out clean.
  8. Center may have spots that look uncooked.
  9. Let stand directly on countertop 1 to 2 minutes.
  10. Loosen edges with knife and invert onto serving plate.
