Cajun Pasta

- 5 1/4 ounces tagliatelle
- 1/2 onion peeled and chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper seeded chopped
- 5 1/4 ounces ground beef
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cayenne pepper whole
- 14 ounces crushed tomatoes
- Parmesan cheese grated, optional
- Boil the pasta in salted water for 8 to 10 minutes.
- On low heat, saute together the onion and bell pepper.
- Once translucent, add the ground beef.
- When the ground beef is halfway cooked, add the thyme, rosemary, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the canned tomatoes and simmer another 10 minutes
- Mix the drained pasta with the cajun sauce. Serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
