Stuffed Round Steak

  1. Mix the ground beef with chopped mushrooms, milk, salt, chopped onion, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard. Spoon mixture over the steak.
  2. Roll the sides of steak like jelly roll over the stuffing.
  3. Bind with bacon strips, wrapped around the outside of the roll at regular intervals.
  4. Fasten bacon ends with toothpicks.
  5. Bacon strips should be close enough together that when it is sliced, each slice will be wrapped with a bacon strip.
  6. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 1/2 hours at 325u0b0.
  7. This is a great dish for entertaining.
  8. It can be made a day ahead of time and put in the oven to bake just before guests arrive.
  9. Two stuffed steaks can be baked in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
