Skillet Steak Strips

  1. Slice beef into 1/2-inch strips.
  2. Heat oil in large skillet. Brown beef and remove.
  3. In same skillet, saute onion and garlic adding more oil if necessary.
  4. Stir in ketchup, water, vinegar, bay leaf, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, cloves and raisins.
  5. Add browned beef, cover and simmer 1 hour or until beef is tender. Discard bay leaf.
  6. Serve over noodles or rice.
