Simple Oatmeal Cookies
- 3/4 cup flour oatmeal
- 3/4 cup flour wholewheat
- 6 3/8 tablespoons flour
- 3 ounces marsala wine
- 3 2/3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 7/8 cup raw sugar
- baking soda or baking powder

- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Combine the three types of flour with the sugar and a pinch of baking soda or baking powder.
- Gradually add, by alternating them, the oil and the wine while kneading. If necessary, add more flour to the dough.
- Place some granulated sugar in a bowl.
- Cut the dough into pieces and shape each piece into a link, then bring the two ends of the link together in the shape of a ribbon, pinching to seal the cookies together.
- Dip only one side of each cookie into the bowl with the sugar to coat it.
- Place each cookie on a wax paper lined baking sheet, sugar-side up.
- Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
