Honey Wheat Bread(Serves 10)

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in a large mixing bowl for 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in egg and next 6 ingredients.
  3. Add whole wheat flour, beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
  4. Stir in enough batter for bread flour to make a stiff dough.
  5. Turn out on a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place in an oiled bowl.
  7. Cover and let rise in a warm place until dough has doubled in bulk.
  8. Punch down dough; divide in half, shape into 2 loaves.
  9. Place in 2 well-greased 9 x 5 x 4-inch pans.
  10. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
  11. Bake in a 375u0b0 oven for 30 minutes, until loaves sound hollow when tapped on.
