Pasta With Onions And Anchovies(Easy Sauce To Make While Pasta Cooks)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can anchovies
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 c. tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. half and half
- black pepper (ground fresh from the mill)
- 1 lb. linguine
- 8 oz. spaghetti sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Puritan canola oil
- 1 Tbsp. fresh minced garlic or 2 fresh garlic cloves, pressed
- 1 tomato, diced with pulp
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- fresh cracked pepper
- Cook spaghetti pasta according to package instructions.
- While that is cooking, combine garlic and Puritan in small saucepan. Brown garlic in oil.
- (Browned garlic will prevent "garlic breath". Uncooked garlic is the culprit!)
- Add tomato, basil and oregano just until heated.
- When spaghetti is cooked al dente (just slightly undercooked), drain.
- Do not rinse.
- In large pasta bowl, add oil/garlic mixture and toss thoroughly.
- Cracked black pepper should be added by each individual.
- Eat immediately.
