Banana Nut Bread

  1. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl.
  2. Add one egg at a time and mix until incorporated.
  3. Add bananas and stir, then buttermilk and vanilla and stir.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir in pecans gently.
  6. Pour into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle with turbinado sugar (optional).
  7. Bake in a preheated 325* oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan and then finish cooling on a wire rack.
