Onion Dip

  1. Saute the onion in the butter at medium-high heat together with the paprika and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 25 minutes more, stirring occasionally until the onions are dark and caramelized. Add the mustard and vinegar and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  3. Mix the cream cheese and mayonnaise together in a separate bowl. Add the onions.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Serve at room temperature.
