Steamed Tofu With Century Egg And Salted Egg
- 2/3 pound pressed tofu 1 packed
- 7/8 cup minced pork
- 1 century egg can replace with some water chestnuts
- 1 egg Salted, hard boiled
- 1 stalk spring onion
- 1 red chilli remove seeds
- 1/8 teaspoon sugar and a little salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon corn flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese cooking wine
- 1/2 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon chicken stock or water
- tofu
- century egg
- egg salted
- Marinate minced pork with the seasoning for 10-15 minutes.
- Dice salted egg and century egg. Cut spring onion and red chilli finely. Then mix them together with the marinated pork.
- Lay a paper towel on top of the tofu and press gently to absorb moisture and cut pressed tofu into 6 slices. Place them on a steaming plate and sprinkle some corn flour on the surface of the tofu and spread about 1 tablespoon or slightly more of pork mixture on it. Steam the tofu for 10-12 minutes at high heat.
- Garnish with little more chopped spring onion over steamed tofu and serve immediately.
