Grilled King Prawn Skewers
- 500 gm raw king prawns
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup cream
- 2 green chilies (minced)
- 1 tea spoon red chili powder
- 1 onion (minced)
- 2 table spoons lemon juice
- 3 table spoons plain flour
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 pack wooden skewers
- Defrost the prawns thoroughly in the fridge overnight and dry on kitchen paper. Soak skewers in water for half an hour. Make a marinade- in another bowl, combine eggs, cream, minced green chilies, red chili powder, minced onion, lemon juice, plain flour, salt to taste and olive oil.
- Spoon the marinade over the prawns and mix in coating each prawn well. Cover and leave to marinate for 1 - 2 hours, stirring once or twice.
- Heat a grill or barbecue to high. Thread the prawns onto the skewers and cook, turning once and basting with the marinade, for 4 - 5 minutes or until pink all the way through.
- Serve with Honey & Chili sauce.
