Grilled Couscous With Raisins

  1. Boil water.
  2. In a shallow plate, pour the couscous and pour the boiling water over it (the water should just cover the semolina). Cover the plate and let the couscous absorb the water (at leat 10 minutes). Fluff using a fork.
  3. Soak the raisins in a little bit of warm water.
  4. Slice the red onion and brown it gently in a pan with the butter or oil.
  5. Add the couscous and brown it, stirring regularly.
  6. When the couscous is nicely browned, add the drained raisins and soy sauce (about a tablespoon: it replaces the salt, so adjust quantity to your taste). Stir well for a good minute.
  7. Serve it with grilled vegetables or fish, and for the children with a sliced hot dog, added at the same time as the couscous.
