Meatballs Gordon

  1. Start with meat.
  2. Add bread, beat in egg and add breadcrumbs to thicken.
  3. Add chopped onion, garlic and whatever herbs to suit your taste.
  4. In medium saucepan, combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, plus the water (see above).
  5. Add chopped tomato; sprinkle in basil.
  6. Make 1 1/2-inch round meatballs; place in sauce. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with pasta or on sandwiches. . .
  8. whatever.
  9. Best if eaten a day or 2 after preparation.
