Steak Kew
- 3/4 pound steak marinate for 30 min.
- 1 pound bok choy cut to chunks
- 1 can baby corn split in half
- 3 black mushrooms pre-soaked; cut to 4ths
- 1 slice ginger root
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons soy
- 2 tablespoons dark soy
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Sprinkle meat tenderizer on both sides (optional).
- Sprinkle salt (if no tenderizer.) Sprinkle pepper, garlic powder. 1 tbsp. sine.
- 1. Heat 1 tbsp. oil (high). Brown steak on both sides (medium rare). Remove, cut into chunks (kew)
- 2. Heat 2 tbsp. oil (medium). Brown ginger and garlic. Put in vegetables and mushrooms. Stir-fry 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of water. Cover wok for 3 minutes.
- 3. Add steak kew in, then sauce. Stir to blend everything together. Serve when sauce is thickened.
