Macaroni And Lots Of Cheese
- 3 c. corkscrew macaroni
- 1/4 c. green onion, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed and softened
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 medium tomato, cut in wedges
- Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
- In large saucepan, cook chopped onion in butter until tender.
- Stir in flour and pepper until blended.
- Add milk.
- Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in the Cheddar and cream cheeses until melted.
- Stir macaroni into cheese mixture. Turn into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Serve with tomato and green onion.
