Tuna That'S Terrific
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. grated American cheese
- 1 (6 1/2 oz.) can tuna, flaked
- 2 Tbsp. sliced pimento
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley (optional)
- In a 2 1/2-quart Hi-Boy or saucepan, prepare spaghetti according to package directions.
- Preheat 9 3/4 or 10-inch skillet, uncovered, over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Melt butter. Saute onion in butter for about 5 minutes.
- Add soup, water, cheese, tuna and pimento.
- Stir until cheese melts.
- Add spaghetti and heat, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to simmer to keep warm for serving.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
