Aussie Burgers
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley finely
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce plus additional, to serve
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 4 hamburger rolls toasted
- plum tomatoes
- lettuce leaves
- tomato chutney
- sliced beets
- Heat 1 tsp of the olive oil in a small skillet on medium heat. Saute onion 3 mins, until tender. Combine onion with ground beef, parsley, egg, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl; season and mix well. Shape into 4 patties.
- Heat a grill pan or large skillet on high heat. Brush with remaining oil. Cook patties 3-4 mins each side, until cooked through.
- Serve burgers on rolls with lettuce, tomatoes, beets, cheese, chutney and additional tomato sauce.
