Pea And Ham Savory Cake
- 1 1/8 cups cake flour
- 7 2/3 tablespoons flour
- 2/3 tablespoon yeast
- 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
- salt
- ground black pepper
- 3 1/2 ounces soft cheese
- 5/8 cup whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 cup cooked ham
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
- slivered almonds
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Through a sieve, add the flours, parmesan cheese, yeast and pinches of salt, black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, mix the soft cheese with the milk.
- Add the egg and oil and beat for 2 minutes.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and mix well.
- Add the ham and fennel seeds and mix well.
- Lightly oil and flour a cake pan. Add the batter and smooth the surface. Top with almonds.
- Cook for 50 minutes, cover with foil halfway through to prevent burning.
- Remove the cake from the oven and allow to cool on a cooling rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
