Maple Crunch Cake
- 2 c. Gold Medal flour
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 6 unbeaten egg yolks
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. maple flavoring
- 1 c. egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together.
- Put in the middle
- of
- the
- dry
- ingredients, the oil, egg yolks, water, flavoring, etc.
- Beat until smooth.
- Measure egg whites and cream oftartar in bowl and beat until very stiff.
- Fold batter into whites
- oftggs.
- Fold
- in nuts last.
- Pour into tube pan.
- Bake 50 to 55 minutes at 325u0b0.
- Turn upside down to cool.
