Sandy'S Low-Fat Lasagne
- 2 lb. ground beef, chuck or round
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large cans tomato sauce
- 1 large can tomato paste
- 1 lb. lasagne noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. mustard
- 1/4 c. parsley flakes
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. low-fat, grated Mozzarella cheese
- Ricotta or low-fat cottage cheese (may be added, if desired)
- Brown beef, onion, salt and pepper; drain.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parsley and water to desired thickness.
- Simmer on medium-low, stirring 45 minutes. Cover bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with a little sauce, layer noodles and cheese (makes 5 layers).
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
- Let set 20 minutes; cut and serve.
