24 Hour Salad
- 1 small head lettuce, chopped
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 small box frozen peas (don't thaw)
- 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 c. broccoli, chopped (if desired)
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 c. salad dressing
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1/2 lb. bacon, browned and crumbled
- 1/2 c. sharp shredded cheese
- Combine
- the lettuce, celery, onion, peas, water chestnuts and broccoli.tover
- with
- 1tup
- mayonnaise and 1 cup salad dressing
- and
- thetugar.tix
- with mayonnaise.
- Use 2 cups mayonnaisetr
- salad dressing, mix sugar in and salt and pepper totaste.tayer
- lettuce on bottom of dish; spread to edge of dish.
- Addthe
- chopped tomato over mayonnaise, then add the crumbled
- bacon.
- Add
- thethredded
- cheese over the bacon. Cover; let set for 24 hours.
- Do not mix to serve.
