Linguine With Brussels Sprout

  1. cook bacon making sure to leave soft but still colorful. remove bacon and pour off excess fat.
  2. add a bit, maybe 1/4 tbs oil, then add garlic. cook till fragrant. (tilt pan and cook garlic in pool of oil so it does not burn)
  3. add brussels sprouts, salt, pepper. cook down.
  4. add pasta to water
  5. when pasta is aldente, return bacon, pasta, and just enough starch water to brussels sprouts.
  6. toss to coat and heat through.
  7. plate and garnish with lemon and additional fresh pepper
