Czech Doughnuts

  1. In

  3. large
  4. bowl dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk (1/2 cup). Add
  5. 1/2
  6. cup
  7. of
  8. sugar,
  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt and 2 cups flour. Let
  10. stand in warm place 1/2 hour.
  11. Beat egg yolks and whole
  12. egg lightly.
  13. Add
  14. 1/2
  15. cup sugar and vanilla and beat lightly.
  16. Add to yeast mixture.
  17. Add melted margarine and rest of
  18. the
  19. flour. Do
  20. not make dough too stiff.
  21. A softer dough makes doughnuts light and fluffy.
  22. Work the dough until smooth and
  23. glossy.
  24. Cover and let stand in a warm place until double in bulk.
