Ricotta Cheese Fritters With Chocolate Chips And Rum

  1. In a bowl, combine the cheese, flour, rum, sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the batter is smooth and uniform in consistency.
  2. Add the chocolate chips and stir.
  3. Bring the fryer to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Use a spoon to add the batter into the fryer.
  5. Remove the fritters from the fryer once they have puffed out and are golden in color using a slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
