Ricotta Cheese Fritters With Chocolate Chips And Rum
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 5/16 cups cake flour
- 4 tablespoons rum
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- salt
- 5 5/8 tablespoons dark chocolate chip
- powdered sugar
- In a bowl, combine the cheese, flour, rum, sugar, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the batter is smooth and uniform in consistency.
- Add the chocolate chips and stir.
- Bring the fryer to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Use a spoon to add the batter into the fryer.
- Remove the fritters from the fryer once they have puffed out and are golden in color using a slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
